Lo's belated fashion week A/W 10 edits.
Okay so this is more than overdue, Fashion week was so long ago that i've even forgotten the exact date. This would have been up on my blog way before now, but college has been very busy lately so please so forgive. These are just my thoughts about my favourite pieces this year.
Jil Sander. The subdude pallete used throughout this line is what did it for me, the simple and sharp tailored look screams that less is definately more. And is a very powerful statement, if you want the power look a simple tailored and black blazer note: not a boyfriend blazer (they are more slack in cut) and a pencil skirt/above the knee kilt/ short shorts will do the trick. For your own mid length boots for high street alternatives grab the 8 hole doc martens in patent black. And believe it or not you have yourself an achievable Sander look.
Rachel Comey. I am very much in love with the nude colours V the chiffon/velvet and silks. Very luxurious but in a very understated manner. You know what I mean ? We usually see dark reds and navy blues when we use sexy fabrics like velvet, but Daks has broken the boundaries, sexy doesnt have to be dark and mysterious. It can be anything nude colours mixed with slack silk trousers counts for sexy too. In my eyes it does. All in ones with cream heels and caramel cardigans makes me think of Chloe Sevigny for opening ceremony a little bit. (Thats not a bad thing at all) Cool is sexy did you know?
Daks. This look carries alot of the same qualities from Comeys pieces, obviously because nudes are a big trend this season. Daks are using more nudes and camel palletes in their line this time. With a more formal yet casual look. Which i like very much, escpecially the grey chiffon button up blouse with the caramel cardigan. Anyone can work this look, whether its with straight leg jeans or for a more girly edge long slick skirts like we see above.
Mary katrantzou and holly fulton. A more tropical/tribal feel to katrantzou and fultons pieces.
I love the vibrant colours and heavy/bold repetitive geometric patterns, particularly the yellow and black coat, but if anything i'd die for that all in one piece, are those brogues shes wearing them with? Id rather wear a heavy black or neon platform for evening or some simple Nike/addidas sneaks during the day at work for example.Burberry Prorsum.Yes, once again Burberry have done it again and in my eyes won! The close fitting garments accompanied with the heavy and extravagant fur coats work extremely well together, and is a look i feel anyone -if they really wanted to could definately work.p.s Im reeeeeally in love with the high wasted slack trousers.
Proenza Schouler. Finally as you could have probably gathered i've left my best till last. Everything about Schouler's line screams cool and seductive. I'm majorly in love with the black platform heels, along with the chunky knit sweaters and chiffon lbd's.Note to self: Start working the stocking and dark lip combo now immediately!

March: beauty reccomendation
Neals Yard remedies have been giving away free samples of their power berry daily moisturisers In Marie Claire magazine. If you have been lucky enough to try it out, you know how great it is, if not get yourself some. Ecspecially if you're a city girl, as this berry potion is full of powerful skin protecting antioxidants. Absorbs very quickly and you only need a pea sized amount and you're good to go.
Great for feeding dehydrated skin, but also for adding a natural glow to dull skin.Acts as a wonderful shield against the cities pollutants too!
We are totally loving brand ILLAMASQUA right now a little like MAC products but more subtle and grown up. we highly reccomend the eyebrow block and nail paints!
This video is a little tutorial for their brand its brilliant step by step guide ensures anyone can achieve the look with their products. Might I add I love their inovative little packaging techniques too. Convienient for girls on the go. We hope you enjoy.

Some essentials that i CANNOT live without
First off,body lotion.
Its a weird one because its for babys, but not only does it have possibly the best smell in the entire world it leaves skin so so soft its unreal, amazing for winter.
So i purchased this the other day and i'm already bang in love with it. Once again perfect for harsh bitter winter wind,my face doesn't hold up well in winter if i'm being honest, but after morning and night uses of this BAM back to normal. I highly recommend it.
I would be a shadow of my former self if my eyebrow pencil was cruely taken from me.No lie.
Rimmel's is the best i have come across so far, perfect for shaping eyebrows or just making them alot
bolder.
I received this for christmas from mama and its the best gift i have ever received. Its basically like food colouring but for cosmetic use on your face and lips. I mainly use it for my lips, but it stays on for hours and gives a pretty rosey tint to them.
Now i've been through a few of benefits face powders, from peach to rosey posey pallet. And this powder pop is by far the best, just because the range of colours and the uses for them vary so much.
Light pink for blush, darker pink for contouring cheekbones and the beige/brown for a 'day glow' look. What more could you want. Serious.
Finishing off with my song of the day, amazing song for real.Nicki makes it.

I woke up to discover ELLE did a little something on winter essentials for under £20. God bless.
I need these, with the consistency of a balm and not a lipstick it has high pigmented colour, but keeps lips moistured. Great for january and all the harsh weather!
